Smells Like Punk is about resisting and overcoming our current difficult situation. It’s about an irrational world and the turmoil of humankind; the tension between the freedoms and constraints of society. 

In my early twenties, I encountered punk culture. Not only the music, but also the fashion, attitude, and DIY spirit. The movement born from punk influenced many things, and changed the world. Of course my punk spirit also trickles into my work.

The head props represent resisting distress. With the help of safety pins, badges, studs and chains, I created these pieces to embody the punk spirit.
