Encadrer is an experimental hair studio whose aim is to find unconventional and unexpected outlets for hair creativity. The Milan-based outfit is the driving force behind various creative projects across the world of art, design and fashion, in which hair always plays the central role. “We’re always seeking out stimuli from new and exciting sectors,” says hairdresser Brian Cantarosso, who founded Encadrer in 2016, “our curiosity and desire to challenge ourselves underpins all our work”.

Encadrer’s base is an industrial space which functions as a salon, photographic studio and hair lab. Here the team work with a roster of photographers, art directors, illustrators, musicians and stylists to bring to life their playful ideas, delivered in a slick minimal aesthetic which is fast becoming their signature. Over the years they have created content for everything from music events to fashion shoots, and they are currently working on a project with design studio IAMMI.
