Karmen Ayvazyan’s series Hair transforms banal scenes into surreal ones, through the addition of hair into each image. Whether neatly piled into a breakfast bowl or wrapped in a towel, each image perfectly illustrates how hair, no matter how glossy and elegant, quickly morphs into an object of repulsion when it’s removed from its original context.
