Taking his inspiration from ‘characters you might find in old nicotine stained lounge bars’, hairdresser and photographer Tom Connell combines extreme opposites in search of something uniquely unfamiliar. Soft lighting and a muted colour palette gives the images a nostalgic warmth and enables the subtle manipulation of hair, while allowing for the addition of details which might only be noticed on the second or third look.
